The Bed and Breakfast A Casa di Lia – Home in Rome is in the centre of Rome a few minutes on foot  from Auditorium Parco della Musica, Teatro Olimpico, MAXXI, Stadio Flaminio,  Stadio Olimpico, Foro Italico, Ponte Milvio, Piazza del Popolo, Villa Borghese, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. Ideal “home base” for sightseeing Rome on foot avoiding the Roman traffic and for attending sport, art events and concerts, the B&B A Casa di Lia is in a penthouse overlooking Rome’s skyline at the 5th floor with elevator in a restored building of years ‘20s, inside the private park of Villa Riccio, a safe, peaceful complex with no noise from the traffic, by the river Tiber: an oasis a few steps from historic central Rome.

The B&B A Casa di Lia features 2 charming king-size bed guestrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom,  Wi-Fi  connection, LCD TV and hair-drier.  Twin beds or extra bed on request. Italian continental self service breakfast buffet is included and is available in the breakfast room,  where there are a refrigerator and a free internet point at guests’ disposal. 

The B&B area is separated  from the penthouse where Lia lives with her family, 2 dogs and the cats, so that you can keep your own privacy and feel at home in a friendly and safe environment. There is no problem of allergy as Lia’s pets live outside in the terrace. Lia speaks English and some Spanish and French.   Guests will get the information needed to enjoy their Roman Holidays. Pets welcome.

Prices: min. 60 € - max.80 € (double single use with bathroom); min. 80 € - max. 140 € (double with bathroom). Extra bed: 10 € - 30 €.

Cancellation policy, no-show: there is no charge if you cancel your reservation up to one week before arrival. Otherwise, the cost of the first night is dued.

Check-in: rooms are available after 03:30 p.m. always on appointment. There is not a 24-hour reception service. Guests are kindly requested to communicate the estimated time of arrival in advance and send an sms or call in case of delay. Luggage can be left in the B&B before check-in time, always on appointment.

Check-out:  by 11:00 a.m.  If needed, luggage can be left in the B&B and picked up later.

Transports: shuttle service to the airport on request (40-50€). Bus 910 Vignola stop from/to Termini Raiways Station (20 min). Underground Line A Piazzale Flaminio - Piazza del Popolo stop from/to Termini Raiways Station, St. Peter’s, the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums (10 min). Tram (streetcar) 2 from/to Piazzale Flaminio - Piazza del Popolo (5 min). Electric bus from via del Corso to the “Wedding Cake”, Fori Imperiali and the Colosseum (10 min). Parking facilities (8€ all day Mon to Fri) and garage (20 €).

In December until January 6, it is worthy to pay a visit to the traditional Christmas stands in piazza Navona and to the Christmas Village at the Auditorium.

Local pizzerias and restaurants: Pizzeria del Vignola, La Romanina, Il Tiepolo, La Friseria, Caffè Stella Ruschena and the typical Trattoria Pallotta at Ponte Milvio.

Shopping:  the shops of via del Corso, via Cola di Rienzo and via Ottaviano.  Souvenir shops by Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. Every Friday there is a crowded flea market like a little Portaportese in the close Olympic Village.

There are also antiques markets by the Navy at Borghetto Flaminio, Belle Arti, Villa Glori, Piazza Mazzini, Ponte Milvio and at piazzale Ankara.
